Katie Eraser’s Highly Anticipated Solo-Show ‘Snug Succour’
Self-taught artist Katie Eraser‘s energetic and highly intriguing practice has undergone a joyously prolific 12 months, resulting in two major shows as well as inclusion in the inaugural edition of The Other Art Fair Melbourne. Katie’s first sell-out exhibition, ‘Perfection isn’t beautiful, Destruction is beautiful’ was held at Boom Gallery in April 2017, and for 2018 Besser Space in Collingwood Melbourne, is thrilled to showcase ‘Snug Succour’ Eraser’s highly anticipated second solo-show.
Katie’s large scaled painted works in her upcoming exhibition explore a fresh terrain of new media. They ‘brightly climb out of the the depths of isolation and render a new day rising under the guise of radiant expressions of abstraction’. The deliberate use of line and texture in Katie Erasers paintings, creates a space focusing on the intersection of emotions and the environment.
