Samsung’s The Frame x Saatchi Art Gallery Debuts At The Other Art Fair NYC

Samsung’s newest television, The Frame, truly is, “the most beautiful TV you’ve never seen.” Beautifully designed and with the ability to enter ‘art mode’, The Frame solves the age old décor dilemma: how to hide the ugly, black television screen when it’s turned off. Tv or artwork over the fireplace mantle? Now you don’t have to choose.

Even better, The Frame includes the Samsung Collection—a gallery of 100 professionally curated artworks across 10 categories from artists across the globe. You can also continually discover and own new art from our esteemed partners like Saatchi Art, all within the Art Store. Purchase pieces individually or sign up for the membership today to gain unlimited access to a growing library of over 400 pieces to personalize your collection.

We’re big fans of helping people discover art they love, especially when it means supporting the work of talented emerging artists. Which is why we partnered with Samsung The Frame to showcase works by some of the immensely talented artists exhibiting at The Other Art Fair New York. The in-fair exhibition, curated by Saatchi Art Chief Curator and VP Art Advisory Rebecca Wilson, featured original artworks by local and international artists alongside Samsung The Frame’s, also displaying digital artworks by exhibiting artists. Visitors were, at first glance, hard pressed to distinguish between the two.

We’ve always embraced new technology as a way to help as many people as possible discover the works of emerging artists and incorporate art into their lives in meaningful ways. Together with Samsung, we’re thrilled to be introducing the Saatchi Art Collection for The Frame. Never before has there been such a versatile way to enjoy TV and the inspiration of world-class artwork—without requiring you to choose which to hang above your fireplace!
