How would you describe your artwork?

Realistic Urban and Landscapes, that is until you step up close to them and then you can see all the luscious marks of paint.

What does making art mean to you?

Making art is everything to me, some people need coffee in the morning. I need paint. If I don’t create something every few days – people can tell!

How did you get started making art?

I originally thought my life would be in the Air Force as a pilot, I grew up watching dad build aeroplanes and couldn’t think of anything else. That was until I turned 18 and had to get my eyes tested for the induction test – BOOM! – Eyes not good enough. So of course I became a visual artist.

What is it like to be a part of The Other Art Fair?

It’s a lot of fun, and a great way to meet other artists too.

What is your favourite piece for sale on your Saatchi Art profile and why?

‘Behind Coles is Prettier’ and ‘Rooftop Carparks’, The stories that go along with these works are what makes it for me. To have changed someone’s day just by doing what I always do is a very fulfilling feeling!

Harley Manifold, ‘Behind Coles is Prettier’, Oil on Canvas, 4.7 H x 6.7 W, $498 (USD)
