Brooklyn: Introducing Selection Committee Member Maria Brito
We are thrilled to unveil our esteemed Brooklyn Selection Committee. These members of a globally significant art community set the high standard of the fair, ensuring you can buy from our artists with the confidence that you are investing in the very best of emerging talent.
The second member of our Brooklyn 2017 committee is Art Advisor, Collector and Curator, Maria Brito.
Maria Brito is an award-winning contemporary art advisor, art collector, creative designer, public speaker, author and curator. Born in Venezuela and educated at Harvard, she has built the art collections and designed the residences of prominent CEOs, celebrities, and entrepreneurs, sharing her knowledge and creativity with her clients to empower them into becoming meaningful collectors. She serves as an art advisor and consultant for a variety of tech companies and lives in Manhattan with her Brazilian husband and their two sons.
She is the author of two books: “Out There: Design Art Travel Shopping” published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2013, and “Greek Gotham,” published by Dio Horia in 2016 with an introduction by Jeffrey Deitch. Maria is a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post,Departures Magazine, Elle Magazine, DuJour Magazine and Vogue Brazil.
